Skoda Octavia - DSG dry clutch info - skidpan. I thought the clutch oil needs changing at 60k miles or 6 years.So in this case every 60k mileage. Cost of about £200 at main dealer so should be cheaper elsewhere. The OP states the car has the dry clutch gearbox so why on earth suggest changing the clutch oil.

Needed a download to correct minor fault which was done at Skoda dealer in Wodonga Vic. Good economy approx 5.7L/100Km but on last trip with cruise set to 105kph I got 5.1L/100Km which is about 55 mpg. No DSG but proper manual transmission and only repair to come is replacement grille where a galah hit it on last trip apart from service. Show

It depends on the type of the 7 speed DSG transmission. The dreaded pre-2010 7 speed DSG dry clutch transmission had common problems with failing mechatronics, failing clutch packs and failing gear shaft bearings. Newer wet clutch 7 speed DSG transmissions are much more reliable.
